Chit
One store-credit balance per customer - no codes. Refund as credit, give credit with a reason, spend it at checkout.
Chit is for WooCommerce shops that give credit instead of cash refunds.

Inside Chit
One balance, no codes
credit lives on the customer's account, so there is nothing to lose or forward.
Refund as store credit
from the order screen, up to what is left to refund. WooCommerce records the refund; no money goes back to the card.
Credit by hand, with a reason
say sorry for a late parcel, or take back credit given twice - never below zero.
Expiry, fairly
credit can expire after a number of days, and the credit that expires first is always spent first.
Spend it at checkout
one tick. It comes off after tax, never more than the order, and is checked again when the order is placed.
Cancelled orders give it back, once.
A history the customer can read
My account > Store credit shows the balance, what is about to expire, and every line with a running balance.
Before you start
Asked first
Can guests use store credit?
No - credit lives on an account. Guest orders are refunded the usual way.
Does it sell gift cards?
No. Chit is store credit the shop gives.
