Guildhall
A member and business directory for chambers, associations and clubs. Brings your directory over from Connections Business Directory and keeps its old addresses working.
Connections Business Directory was closed on WordPress.org on 23 January 2025 for a security issue and can no longer be downloaded or updated. Guildhall is a replacement that reads your Connections entries straight out of your database - Connections does not even need to be installed - and sends every old listing address on to its new page.

Inside Guildhall
Listings for businesses, people and families, with addresses, phones, email, websites and social media.
Search, categories and A-Z , as a plain form that works with javascript off.
Members-only listings - shown to signed-in members, hidden from everyone else. A listing can also be kept but not shown at all.
Renewal dates - a lapsed member's listing is flagged while it is still showing.
"Save to my phone" on every listing - a contact card every phone opens.
Nothing shown broken - a website that is not a web address, or a number that cannot be dialled, is left off the page and flagged for the office instead.
Nothing lost in the move - Connections' entry addresses (both the /name/<entry>/ kind and ?cn-entry-slug=) send visitors and search engines to the new pages with a permanent redirect.
Before you start
Asked first
Does the move change or delete my Connections data?
No. It only reads it. Running it twice never makes doubles: each listing remembers which Connections entry it came from.
What does not come across?
The move screen says so before anything happens: any Connections column Guildhall does not recognise is named, and fields Guildhall does not keep (birthdays, anniversaries, instant-messenger names, private notes) are listed against each entry. Address lines 3 and 4 are joined onto line 2.
Can visitors see members-only listings?
No. A members-only listing is shown only to someone signed in to your site, its page answers "not found" to anyone else, and its contact card cannot be downloaded.
Does Guildhall take payments or need an account?
No. Your office signs in with WordPress's own users. Guildhall sends nothing anywhere.
What happens to my listings if I delete the plugin?
They are kept. A directory is your organization's record of its members; deleting a plugin is not the same as deciding to throw that away.
More for trades & local

Ballpark
A homeowner enters the size and options and gets a price range from your own unit prices - then books an estimate visit on the same page.

Chalkboard
Menus typed the way a kitchen writes them - a line a dish - with sizes, dietary marks, specials on their own days, "serving now", and a sold-out list that clears itself at midnight.

Masthead
A page for every employer on your WP Job Manager board, and a companies directory - with the company typed three ways still counted as one.
